I am a professor of clinical psychology at Long Island University, a recognized expert in the treatment of a number of psychological issues, and I have trained hundreds of psychologists.
My treatment philosophy is to use a gentle and empathic approach and help clients make observable progress each week.
I have conducted federally funded research in many of my areas of expertise, so clients can be sure that they are receiving state-of-the-art care.
The point of psychotherapy is for the person to feel better and to get on with life – without the therapist. To that end, most courses of treatment are "time-limited," meaning that my goal is not to keep you in therapy for the long term (unless that’s what you want).
